To be selected, startups must:
- Be Australian-based and working on deep tech solution
- Demonstrate a strong problem-market fit

Selection Process:
- Apply online – Complete the application form by 30th April
- Assessment – Applications reviewed by Cicada Innovations and a panel of experts
- Shortlisting – Selected startups invited to be part of the Tech23 cohort - end of May
- Cicada x Tech23 Main Event – Finalists present to an audience of investors, industry, and policy leaders at Tech23, 10th September
